yer so i jus got reason yesterday.

Pretty good man. Spend some more time on it it'll be really good. Nice and quirky

As for the time question. Spend as much time on a tune as it needs. Some of my tunes have taken a few hours some have tacken a few weeks. Totely depends on each track.
Stick at it though.

good crack for first tune. looks like you got the hang of the drum rhythm and programming ur bass line. just try adding more sounds, maybe some chords and more midrange loops, so the track sounds more full at the moment it sounds a little empty. also you might want to try adding some sub bass to give the track some weight.
