Can Anyone Tell Me How To Alter Bass Frequencies in FL?

Hi i'm tryin to find out how u create sub bass properly in FL Studio. Also what's an ideal tempo for dubstep and how do i set the tune to half-time?
All help appreciated :wink:

3 osc for basslines learn how to use this properly

paino roll for different Frequencies

138-142 bpm is nice

Kick on the 1 snare on the 3 is kinda the rule with drums

yeah, he's right but don't stick to close with it, just play around,find the style u like. i like to mix it up with breaks or try complete different stuff.
i think especially dubstep is kinda genre that shouldn't follow any rules too much. anyway, rules are made to be broken :)

and um... you don't "set" a tune to half-time.. half-time is music-speak for when a tune is running at a certain BPM (say in the case of dubstep 140 BPM - which is arguably a fast tempo at 4/4) but it feeeeels like it is running at a tempo of 70 BPMs because really a kick on the 1 and a snare on the 3 at 140 BPM is a beat that is half as fast as a beat that has a kick on the 1 snare on the 2 kick on the 3 snare on the 4 at 140 BPMs - the latter beat at 70 BPM would sound just as fast as the former at 140 BPM -

this is basic music theory

yeh thanks for that man but i'm 14 and only started making music so even some of the basic concepts are new to me :wink: however sooner or later hopefully i will be up to your standard of musical knowledge :lol:

i wish i started producing at 14 :evil:

keep at it mate, keep makin tunes.. and reading some of the stuff round here won't do you any harm either, people dropping some serious knowledge and handy hints...

when i have a child, he/she's gunna be assigning LFO's to filter cutoffs by the age of 3 :wink:
