Hey guys

I dont really like mixing in ableton on their mixer, i was looking into getting a mix board that can control abletons faders etc allowing me to do all my mix down out of ableton including EQ stuff if thats possible?.

Is that something thats possible? or does ableton not integrate that well?

ive looked at some of the mackie stuff and that might work but the problem i had using my mpk49 faders was that when i change projects and the faders dont match up to ableton, as soon as i touch them they jump out of place and all needs remixing...

Thanks for any help,

Yes, it's called a midi controller. Searching for it will probably find you lots of information on midi keyboards instead. I have an APC40 which is designed for Ableton, so you don't really have to screw around with mapping it.

What you might need then, are motorized faders. They automatically recall the position that they were set to. Unfortunately, I do believe they tend to be a quite a bit pricey

You want a board with motorized faders so they "recall" their postions. I have used a few Presonus boards in the studio, but we ran them as an analog board and tracked real/live instruments for a band. But this stuff will integrate into your DAW i believe.

or grab a single fader that is motorized

or on the cheap (i would advise NOT buying this at all though).
