so i guess this isn't really dubstep but hopefully people won't mind. im influenced big time by burial, digital mystikz, el-b and goldie... good stuff. so i guess this is sort of house but w/e. feedback would be appreciated.

Really nice, bud! Bass is very nice, Love when the drums pick up overall a very chill song!
The intro kind of mislead me into believing it was some sort of Electro-pop song, if you will but I was mildy surprised to run into a very nice, soothing ride.
NOTES: 1:25 the drums seem a little too quick for that section, maybe space the notes just a bit until it picks up later on. 2:34 The song feels like it just kind of slams into the next part but with this song it seems like you want everything to be smooth transitions, so maybe have a simple riser of some sort to melt that in?
But Really I am enjoying the crap out of the vibe, just wanted to share my opinions!
P.S. Also you should put the copy/pasted link in between the "soundcloud" Embedding above text box when posting so it shows tune on the site

Agree with above in that initially the drums seem to quick, busy and hurried. It detracts from the vibe of the track so early on. On the whole the track is wonderful sounding, very plush, the burial influence is quite distinct. Though one thing stood out to me all through the track, is how static the percussion is, all the artists you mention are masters at making their beats feel alive, whether it be subtle changes to reverb, pitch or layering. Your snare for example, it's a great sound but it does sound real static and after hearing 200 odd times it just doesn't carry the track like it should. Incidental percussion as well might bring the beat track alive, just a few random change ups, different samples. You have a great plush track, very reminiscent of Raver by Burial (I think it's that one), but because of how close it is, you can't avoid the distraction that the rhythm track just isn't as progressive, involving or catchy as it's influence.
Also, why wouldn't this be classed as Dubstep?

oh wow thanks for all of the feedback guys! Really appreciate it. im actually not that big of a fan of Raver, more so influenced by stuff like ashtray wasp and rough sleeper.. but i do see the comparison. overall the complaints seem to be in the drums and that has always been the toughest part for me in my tracks. so, the percussion is too fast and it becomes too repetitive. alright. i'll see what i can do. thanks guys! big help
