We are very proud to come forward with our first release by SubDimension. Elements EP.
He brings you an EP with different styles of Dubstep he likes. Ambient, relaxing, subbass pressure on the A side and slamming beats, filthy reeses and uplifting basslines on the B side.

We as a record label feel obliged to support the vinyl culture, therefore we will be only releasing on vinyl. However, you do receive a download-card with each record.

[SubDimension – Elements]

SubDimension immediately heads down deep with ‘Elements’; this heavy-weight production hits the listener without a single warning. Constant sub-pressure travels through your ear canals, lifting you up to another level while mystical soundscapes leave a question mark behind. Meanwhile, the development of the percussive elements really tightens the mix, disabling the option for you to run away. His excellent and creative sample use implemented adds another little dimension to this piece: all freshly recorded from the outside world. The use of panning gives it an extra touch, while noting that the balance between kick and snare is well chosen. If you’re in for a journey, sit down and take your time for this EP: it’s just the beginning.

[SubDimension – Elements (Dubbacle Remix)]

Dubbacle’s remix is something completely different, bringing the sub-pressure after only a short introduction of powerful acoustic chords. The high-end contains a lot of emotion, giving this dark but beautiful roller some extra character. The acoustic ‘elements’ are layered in a great manner, functioning together as the lead of the mix, ever evolving until the elements run out of energy. With the low-end shaking things up, the tribal sounding percussion gives the track an organic feeling, which should not be mistaken. With a mesmerizing break lifting up the energy level even more, Dubbacle succeeds in creating a beautiful piece that hits right through the heart if you don’t watch out.

[SubDimension – Profane]

As the track-title ‘Profane’ speaks for itself, it’s exactly what you read and might hear as it progresses. The room slowly fills up with an evil pad sounding like a sorcerer’s spell, while this dirt-sounding growl really teases the listener of what might be slaying you as it hits the eardrums. The enormous amount of energy coming off the kick and snare leaves and creates some serious impact. Growl-wise its development goes further and further, with panning being an important factor of the mix. As the low-end forms a heavy output of the mix, it works together as a seamless layer of weight along with the fulfilling mid-range. This is definitely the definition of ‘Profanity’, if you’re feeling it or not.

[SubDimension – Correlate]

‘Correlate’ is one of those tunes, which has a lot of mystical energy floating around until the purpose of the tune becomes more apparent. The guitar riffs are a strong reminder of an influencer from the past: Distance might be the one. As the drop commences, the guitar riffs become the lead of the mix as expected. But nonetheless, it’s definitely a move that makes eyebrows rise up. The different variations applied really twist up the mix, especially after the pads of the break slowly fade out again. With a solid low-end accompanying the mid-range, the intensification of the mix is not a fable as its output may become quite overwhelming – well played! SubDimension as newcomer has shown that he’s capable of producing serious tunes on his own label, which will immediately shake up the dance-floor.

Keep an eye on this man as more promising releases will follow in the near future. Spreading out different styles on one release has been a great choice, that’s what the ears of the listener like. With this release to get things up to speed, Smack Out Records might flourish into something more beautiful than we all think.

Also Access FM had some nice words to share about Elements EP

Today is the release of SubDimension’s debute EP called Elements EP on new dutch label Smack Out Records.

This new Dutch label, Smack Out Records, is one of the few real record labels left, as they only release vinyl. But if you do buy it on wax, you’ll get the digital release for free.

We first heard of subdimension about a year ago. And we were so impressed with his work, that we decided to include his tune Don’t Fall Asleep on our first free compilation.

From that point we knew it wouldn’t take long before he got noticed by a real label and was going to release his first official EP. And now here it is, a 4 track EP of his own, including a remix from fellow dutch producer Dubbacle.
