Icicle has a production interview video somewhere iirc, idk if he covers bass but it might help if you find it on YouTube.

I know he did a tutorial or 2 for Computer Magazines Dubstep VS DnB article and I'm pretty sure it's on youtube.

As far as this "growl wobble" goes, to me, it sounds like maybe 1 square and 1 saw, maybe pitched 1 otcave apart, possibly running through a lpf or daft filter with low res, maybe a small bit of distortion before either a small reverb or dimension expander and add a classic tube or differentr one if you want. It's a pretty standard warm, kinda distant wobble. Granted this is only for making a sound in massive, and i do not recommened using fx other than tube emulators in massive. That's where I'll end and say if you don't know where to go from here read the Dibstep Production Bible and you will have very few wuestions regarding sound design. It looks lime it'll take forever to read, but it took me like 3 days total because I knew a lot of the stuff before hand so I breezed theough it and skipped many sections.

morph two sines into squares (any wavetable synth) detuned like in a reese way until you find a sweet spot, distort this and apply a phaser or some shit for movement. low pass, additive eq the highs and start distorting again and modulating a lp for movement, add some chorus, etc. It's a really easy sound to nail and I've been using it a lot in some of my new stuff, sounds amazing imo :W:

Thanks everyone! I tried following that icicle masterclass video, though it was too complex, and the interface is different from FL Studio because he was using Logic and Reason. Could you show me with a screenshot tutorial, perhaps even make one if you wouldn't mind, or link a video of somebody using massive to make that sound.

There are so may types of wobbles I want to learn to make, just know how to make one

When I get all this stuff covered I'll be making youtube videos to show people who were in my situation how to do all these wobbles.

I tried making the sound in Massive, but it kind of sounds weird. What else should I be doing here?

I fail at everything having to do with wobbles :(

What Hircine posted is legit, you can do that in Massive - if you try . Nobody's going to spell out how to make an Icicle wobble word for word, line by line. Take a bit of initiative, learn Massive, learn synthesis and make some awesome sounds.
