Translating

Trying to translate a heavy, thick Rekoil-like basses (thick, dark, metallic, and heavier an atomic bomb) into Reason. Considering he uses Crude mostly, and God knows what else, I'm lost, considering the wavetables in Reason don't get as complex as Crude in Massive without tinkering for hours to days. For the love of bass, help me.

Here's a good example: 0:31 & 0:56
Soundcloud

0:39
Soundcloud

0:37
Soundcloud

0:42
Soundcloud

I'm not necessarily trying to get his sound, just trying to learn to recreate the dark, heavy, metallic sound in Reason. :4:

I may not know shit about reason, but there's a funtcase masterclass somewhere on the interwebs that is done in reason and he does a bit of explaining basslines using scream and malstrom, might be helpful

I've watched that mclass more times than I can count, and his basses in that mclass (Wizard Sleeve) aren't anywhere near what I'm looking for, and he doesn't explain it all that much. :P

Well the best advice I can REALLY give you then, is to run NI massive in another DAW, resample, then send back into reason.

Believe me, I've considered that, but I'm not in the capacity to torrent anymore. :cornlol: I just might be screwed for a bit.

It's more of just finding those pre-harmonics in the Crude wavetable, to recreate it. :P
