Stuck in a rut. Need some advice :-/

It happens to the best of us but I'm seriously stuck right now. Nothing Ive been making is unique or inspiring. I've tried a lot of different things such as listen to other genres of music, try using other songs as a template or inspiration for a song or even not listen to any music and just sit and produce.
My biggest problem is I have a few tunes I have in mind that I want to make but whenever I sit down and make them nothing worth while comes out aside from my initial idea.
Would you guys mind giving me some advice on how you got out of your rut (if you have ever been in one).
