How can I make a bassline/bass sound more thicker?

I made my own synths in NI Massive, I put them over a simple, kick snare beat
they just sound kind abit boring and mostly empty
i add subbass, still it stays empty, like theres something missing but I dont know what, some extra FX?
:u: even if i use presets made by professionals, my bass just doesn't sound like the thickness i am looking for :/
Heres what i mean: Nice and thick interesting but simple bassline

Mine just lacks those characteristics.
Any help, I would be very gateful.

add subtle effects to thicken it up, such as distortion. Using a saturator or overdrive works to thicken up most basses.

consider the valid possibility of not having the loudest and thickest bass in the world. your music is very likely just fine without it, but it might be easier to tell if you give us an example.

many argue that cuntface and friends make shitty music. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubstep#Br ... velopments

Unison and stacking octaves detuning the oscillators
Reverb and stereo widening like Dimension Expander

Can we hear a sample of your basses?

I have this kind of problem too..All my midbasses sound too thin especially if i cut those sub freqs to make them fit with my sub bass..
How do you eq your midbasses? Ive been trying to lowpass them to bring those lower freqs up but it just starts to sound muddy or not so bright (dunno the word :D )
I have all my osc turned down to -12 and im using notes like E4, should i try to use something lower, like E3?
When i do this, the midbasses starts to muddy hard, but should i just use lower notes and change my patches so that they wont sound so messy when using lower notes?

Sorry for my bad english and knowledge about music :D

Heres a example of my couple of my midbasses, using E4-D4 notes..

Any of these if you haven't tried it:

Compression / multi-band compression
Unision/chorus / duplicate and detune
Reverb / stereo widening
(Serial / multi-band) saturation
Delay
