TUBA launches their digital catalog with a true dubstep release from Juss B. TUBAd 001 will be released on May 6th, 2013.

The release features two deep and dangerous tracks. The Cell is a stunning model of space and rhythm that pushes serious bass weight. This sub driven half-time stomper introduces layer after layer of percussion, propelling the track ever forward.

Juss B weaves drums and bass through dark atmospheres in Below. This track has an introspective and reflective side, with warm pads and tense voices. It is edgy and ambient and fully ready for the sound system.

Supported by Surge (Wheel and Deal), Anex, Korrupt, FKOF, and Bakir.

Aftershock is minimal, atmospheric, tribal, and deep. With driving layers of percussion and dark, rhythmic sub bass, this track is for the deep heads.


Juss B hails from Southern California and now resides in Bali. His sound embraces the deep, dark, and atmospheric range of the bass music spectrum. Continuing to progress and push his sound, He has seen support from TRUTH, Dubtek, Dcult, and NType, Juss B's momentum ceases to falter as he begins to pile up a busy DJ schedule and several forthcoming releases for 2013.

TUBA announces their next 12” vinyl release.

Prism’s A-side begins dark and cold as ancient prison stone, motionless save an automated string sample ebbing in waves. The breakdown is characteristically spare and ethereal with a few pounding heartbeats. Suddenly, in a moment of true eloquence, Prism turns on both the lights and heat simultaneously, filling the sonic space with a gorgeous quasi-drop. Dynamic and versatile, it plays out as a spectrum from cold and dark to warm and generative—exactly like a sunrise.

On the B-side Compa’s remix is foreboding as a creepy stranger’s warning and as dark as a spell cast by a dark, latent entity. Congas add a mystical and organic element and slight drum fills float alongside slow, even pacing. The tune concludes with deeply distorted underlying strings, reminiscent of long, gunmetal-grey gutters. A shadowy track all the way through.

Boston-based producer Prism (Dave Hanson) has been gaining a lot of notoriety lately. His release on Chef‟s Sub Freq Recordings has gotten played by Skream on BBC Radio 1 and “Two Hearts‟ was awarded “Best Dubstep Tune of the Month” in Mixmag. Gaining support and praise from dubstep veterans Joe Nice, Mala, Om Unit, Von D and Quest along with a nationwide run of shows this summer, Prism isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
