Hi Beeboyely, welcome to Dubstepforum! :)

Sunklo is our resident comedian, just in case you didn't 'get' his response. ;)

Loads of people use Vintage Warmer as it gives a really nice sound. If you're interested in it then buy it. :)

A free alternative to Vintage Warmer is Digital Fish Phones 'Blockfish' compressor available from their website (http://www.digitalfishphones.com/main.p ... &subItem=5).

PSP Mixpack also has some nice tools which could be worth looking into if there is an element of the mix you want to emphasise.

Patrick :)

i love PSP. Vintage warmer, mixbass, mixcomp, mixtreble, the parametric EQ, all their shit is great. Kind of pricey. Good stuff though well worth it if you are investing in a project stuido

Don't forget oldTimer

And don't sleep on the multiband section in Vintage Warmer!!!
When I found out about it after using it for ages I felt like a dunce.

Vintage Warmer is really nice on drums and I've often used it at the mix stage using the light tape preset and adjusting the wet/dry on each channel to give some nice analogue (emulation) goodness.

It's really tempting to over use vintage warmer and you think you're mix is starting to sound great... and then you realise it's an over-compressed shit monster, so that dry wet knob is really useful :)

check out the Kryptic Minds Masterclass vid. They love that vintage warmer, they will also teach you how "parametric eqs are the way forward".
