Got a nice response on this one so far. An hour of Joy productions, not any sort of chronological mix, but more looking to join the dots between releases over the past few years from a guy who's probably done more than anyone in pushing the UK underground forwards. Decided not to put a tracklist up for this one...more fun that way!

Anyway, I hope people enjoy this. It won't be up for too long either.

In what way is not having a tracklist 'more fun?'

Id only ever listen or download something thats tracklisted to be honest.

Personally I find (Good) mixes without tracklistings more enjoyable.

Does it really matter for this mix? It's all Joy and it's all been rinsed.

It's a mix with a dominant theme (Joy Orbison, it's in the post title), y'allready know what it is if you think it's all overhyped then why bother comin in to hype about a tracklist. It's all the same artist, who I have credited, if it made you that uncomfortable I can send you the list (includes cocaine powda).

I've spoke at length with a number of people who have witnessed the cycles of interest in house music in the UK, and all cite the massive importance of Hyph Mngo as a zeitgeist defining moment which brought so many underground artists to the fore. Maybe I overstated his overall importance as an artist considering the quick arcs of interest you all probably have, but enough chatting breeze about hype who cares just because he gets such a (unintentional) buzz about every single release shouldnt influence your opinion jheez

When it comes down to it, this is just a mix, I'm not trying to make a statement or be his mascot. It's not like the artwork was a picture of me kissing my copy of sicko cell or something. Just judge the MUSIC people
