Any ideas what this fella uses to produce? software wise i mean, Logic 7, Reason etc...

Total guess but with all the edits he does, I'd say some sort of tracker.

neverheard of these things before, will have to do a search on them! can u use them in logic? i duno whether 2 buy logic or reason for makin boxcutter style dubstep, not rip of boxcutter, but that fuckin kool style lol!

I would say you have a lot more control with Logic, considering the ways you can manipulate and stretch audio.

Do you like Milanese? He uses Logic.

Nice, various production have a really odd but kool engineering style aswell! listened to some of your tracks escapee, nice! im seriously considering buying a macbook and getting logic!

it sounds like he uses it on pretty much all of his tracks. at least the cd i've listened to. actually gets kind of annoying IMO.

I have the Black Macbook with 2 GB Ram and it performs about the same if not better than my Dual 2.0 Ghz PowerMac G5. It performs very well with Logic

Yer? Nice that is what i was looking at! only thing that im a bit worried about is the soundcard? Am i going to be able to get my keyboard, mic etc all running through the standard card? Im trying to find a site where i can get a macbook and logic at a bargain price as a package, not happening though!

I use a M-Audio firewire Audiophile interface that I picked up 2nd hand for about £70
It makes good recordings and has good quality outputs.

I got a student discount on both Logic and a Macbook, if you know any students do it this way, you might only pay £289 for Logic instead of the ordinary £699

The glitches sound as though they come from the dblue glitch.

Unless theres some update i'm unaware of using logic will not make you sound like Milanese or Loefah or anyone else who uses it except if you have their years of experience, the same efx plugins and the same samples.

Settle on a sequencer and use it until the arrange window appears on the inside of your eyelids when you're trying to sleep at night. As long as the output quality is good enough it really doesn't matter which one.

I dont want to sound like anybody, but if i am spendin 700 pound on an appliation id like to know what levels of output i can get! as you can see my previous knowledge of sequencers consists of very little, a cracked FL 7 about a year ago and a session with a friend on logic a few weeks ago is about as far as it goes, but the passion for music has been there since i can remember, which is why i want to invest!

Most of the time I use my Powermac (cos it has more FX and I've yet to pay for the upgrade to Intel version)
And with the G5 I use a 20" and 17" monitor.

But since my G5 recently broke and I'm waiting for it to be fixed, I'm using the macbook with the additional monitor.
The 13" screen is fine when it's on my lap, but on my desk, at like 3 feet away it is a bit small. Although I think it would be the same with a 17" Macbook Pro cos of the resolution being higher and text and images therefore looking smaller.

Yeah. You definitely don't need to drop £700 and go Mac for Logic to produce dubstep - there's nuff cheaper less famous options. Reaper, Tracktion, EnergyXT, Orion, FLStudio, some of the budget versions of the big names and so on.
