I've heard some producers make their own drum/percussion sounds. How do you make them? And I mean the simple 808 sounds. Thanks in advance.

Ah come on man, did you try searching google for this? I know there are youtube tutorials. I'm pretty sure you can do an 808 kick with a sine wave and pitch envelope, maybe a bit of tube distortion or some kind of saturation.

And people wonder why the idea of a separate subforum for n00bs never took off...
_____

Hit yourself in the head with a hammer and record it with a Neumann. Best kick sound you'll ever get.

Technically wouldn't that be a hat hit?

Yes, I did some research, didn't find anything, except for the 808 kick. And thanks for the comments, allthough it wasn't really where I was looking for.

Why not use some good sounding 808 samples for this?

Then, sir, I have no idea what the fuck you're looking for. But good luck finding it, whatever it is.

Absynth has good drum presets, if you have it you could take a look at the patches. I never really ot the hang of synthing claps, claves, snare drums, but kicks are usually pretty easy especially big long boomy 808 sub bass kicks.
Tight pitch envelope with rapid decay on a sine wave or low passed square, experiment with amp envelope
Hi Hats shouldn't be too hard, try high passed white noise, and you can use a LFO or performer to modulate the amplitude to play a hat pattern with the synth's sustained note

Could be wrong, but I think that "high passed white noise" & LFO's and whatnot are probably Greek to the OP.
