is this referring to liquid dnb kind of dubstep tunes? someone once said the tune in my sig souneded like "liquid dubstep" but idk i hate the whole breaking everything into subgenres. dubstep is dubstep. it may have some boundaries but many different styles within it.

Whatever "liquid dubstep" is, it's not like it's made any differently than "normal" dubstep. don't look for tutorials for specific genres. Look for tutorials for things you're trying to do. Specific things (like - how to make x sound).

yeah, liquid dubstep is more mellow, peaceful. it's less focused on the harder, agressive sounds heard. Here's an example of what I'm interested in. Thanks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEiseCOGOWM

This tune seems to have a lot of concentrated wealth, north american interference and poverty.

Nice tune!

You should get down googling dubstep tutorials and organic sound design (I have to assume u know music theory...). U'd prob need a easy worked moddeling synth and quite an amount of perc samples. Some nice reverbs, eq and amp. I think there is some subtle side-chain compression going on as well, maybe just me...

Why don't you watch some liquid DnB tutorials (I assume there will be a few on youtube) and apply what you learn to 140bpm with half time drums
