I've tried downloading Itchy synths a number of times and usually get bounced around to different "download" locations but the final download turns out to be something totally different that I don't want. A couple of times I downloaded something but when I ran it it wanted to get online and change my browser etc so I've canceled and trashed the program. Does anyone know where we can actually download it/them, preferably in a nice zip file?

After noticing that the links directed to files hosted on RapidShare, I decided to test the validity of the links. RapidShare reports each file as missing.

If I may ask, why use Itchy synths when Tal Noisemaker is better, has a clearer GUI and is freely available from http://kunz.corrupt.ch/products/tal-noisemaker for both Mac and PC?

Ditto Oatmeal (PC Only) which can be downloaded directly from here http://bicycle-for-slugs.org/oatmeal38-1.zip (Be sure to choose a skin you find easy to use, otherwise you'll spend more time figuring out what the fuck you're looking at instead of using this truly powerful synth for making tunes!)

Thanks I have both of those. I'm interested in any patches that would be good for trying dubstep if you know of any. Some of the stuff I read said the Itchy synths were designed toward dubstep so I was hoping to get them and they would have some good presets and there would be preset packs available too. But so far I can't even get the synths...I've probably tried chasing bogus downloads about a dozen times by now. All I got was some virus stuff so far.

Itchy was using the 'good for dubstep' as a marketing ploy. Remember that any synth is good for dubstep and that good dubstep comes down to imaginative song writing and a healthy dose of sub bass.

If you want presets, choose a synth like NI Massive or Camel Audio Alchemy that have loads of patch banks available. Check out Tal-Noise Maker linked to above if you want a straight forward synth that can make a wide range of sounds.

Well played. However, I'm uncertain regarding the validity of your claims considering that, unless I failed to perceive some interpretation, no component of my prior statement alluded that I had possessed any intention or interest in indulging in any sort of self-panegyric.

I have tried itchy synths and honestly I thought I was being trolled. Good luck with them.

But they have to be legit. They have illegal substances on them.
