I am doing research for videogames and was curious about a certain kind of music in videogames.
Does anyone know if any kind of (heavy) bass music is featured in any videogame ever at all?
I am talking about heavy weight soundsystem music. With basslines you can only feel instead of hear.
Thanks in advance,

That's not the kind of music I'm talking about, I'm talking about heavy bass not so-called brostep.

The GTA Radiostations actually were the first thing that popped up in my when thinking about this subject.
The thing is...
My speaker broke so I can't check any of the following music.
But if anyone here has nothing to do: be my guest! I'm sure people on DSF have proper systems to test the quality.
There might me better quality versions on yt but because my speaker broke I can't hear the difference.
Also: these are just 3 games, from 2001 and 2005, this can't be ALL OF IT in the whole gaming industry right?

Style/genre doesn't matter as long as there is bass.

Yep Photek * Source Direct tunes on wipeout 2097
I have the CD
My favourite music from a game right now is far from bass music though...

Whoa, Photek did tunes for that game? All I knew is that Source Direct and The Prodigy did. that is seriously sick and these tunes are great.

When I listen to photeks music pre 2000 I think to myself how shit dubstep is by comparison, and how his music has the perfect amount of atmosphere, technical brilliance and rhythm

I recently played through Far Cry 3 and it's got that cringeworthy bit where you have to set fire to all these drug fields with a flamethrower and urm...he who should not be named with damian marley came on and I got very upset...that's the only tune chosen for the soundtrack and the rest is a score
they COULD have used like ancient memories when you're grabbing relics
