Guidelines
- Evidence must be presented of legitimate beef for a Tune Battle (henceforth known as 'the battle') to take place
- Both parties (henceforth known as 'parties' or 'party') must agree to the battle.
- An arbitrary and impartial judge (henceforth known as 'the judge') must be appointed and agreed upon by the parties. For the purposes of voting, wherever possible the judge should have access to a Soundcloud account that can be used to upload tracks.
- The judge will choose the genre for the battle
- The parties then have a 96hr time period in which to produce a new track and submit to the judge via DSF PM in 320kbps MP3 format, together with a secret and secure link for downloads
- The judge will upload both tracks with their identity concealed to Soundcloud
- A voting thread will then be created, with the voting time running for 96hrs.
- Upon the completion of the voting period, whichever tune has the most votes shall be declared the winner, at which point the judge will reveal the party responsible for each track
- Should either party not submit their track to the judge within the allotted time, they will be automatically disqualified
- Additonal grounds for disqualification include but are not limited to;
- attempting to influence voting
- Revealing identity of tracks prior to the voting period ending
- Beginning work on a track before the allotted time period
- Submission of a prior or existing work
- Refusal to adhere to genre choice
- The winner's and loser's names will then be recorded in this thread, together with a summarised history of the battle and it's outcome
- Additionally, loser must change their signature to include the following text;
Code: Select all
I lost a tune battle to [username of winning party]. He is a better producer than I am

the choice of genre. obviously if you choose one that neither person produces you should be fine in that respect.

The loser signature should indicate the genre they are worse at.

Can we have a rule where if something as simple as agreeing to battle or choosing a genre isn't established within a time period or by a certain page then the thread is locked and done with.
'llow this 20 page chat shit nonsense.
