Most all genre names are fucking stupid. Molly Grit is 10,000x as stupid as Zouk Bass imo, but whatever. Would you prefer Chillzouk?

Think it's a natural pushback to the preponderance of bass. It does get old, though.

The stuff I'm feeling in this general vein sounds less like slowed down moombah and more like some weird afrodancehallton or something along those lines.

It's interesting that there are two separate trap/bass/tropicalia/juke/reggaeton convergences though.
