Stereo subbass?

I lo passed KTN's 'Kill the Noise Part 1' til like 30 hz, and Waves PAZ was still showing some stereo information. Checked out some Pretty Lights tracks and the same thing, except he has waaay more stereo info down there. I always thought subbass should be in mono, or at least way higher than 30hz?

Well, in general it's a sensible thing to keep sub bass in mono to keep it sounding powerful in the club

Also if you cut anything to vinyl having anything in stereo in the bass will cause all sorts of problems due to the physical process of the cutting head having to cut it.

Finally it seems like a pointless thing to do anyway a lot of the time as lower frequencies are less directional.

I'd say to avoid it unless you really do have something specfic in mind

I lowpassed and bounced out Midnight Request Line one time and the bass wasn't perfectly in phase either.
