Worst luck ever?(Mac help and little rant)

Ahah so me being trying to be difficult and a smart ass i decide to upgrade my Macbook (2008 Y.O) with a new harddrive. It was like 180G and i bought and upgraded to 1T and succesfuly transferned and boot my stuff on the new laptop. Been working great but for some reason it wont boot up?
What happened before the boot up problem to my main partition on my HDD. I tried running a minecraft server and other stuff. Im a counselor at a game design camp and the computer that broke had the server. So the server was working on my laptop but since its a piece of shit my cpu overload to 140% and no one could join. I stoped that and shut it down, when i got home it booted up to a grey screen with the gear spinning for 10 second and disappearing and coming back and spinning again. Sometimes get a couple white dots while the gear spinning reset happens so it could be a logic board problem.
Ive went through everything i could do and went into every start up mode pressing every command key and other stuff. Sadly to say it could be the day that i trash my mac all together. I dont know any solutions to this problem. I think i have a hardware problem and if not i should upgrade to new computer. I honestly dont have the money right now to shell out a good 500 for a good setup and another 100 hours redownloading all my samples/daw/vst/presets..

If you have any help or tips Id be so greatful
please no derailing with mac is shit and pc debate. I could honestly not care... Its a bloddy computer and both work regardless to your electronic beliefs.
On top of all that my iphone 4 is starting to act up! Ive think ive had it with up mac stuff for awhile
. So thats another 600 for a phone from T-Mobile.Plus i have to get my wisdom teeth removed and i dont have dental issuance so thats at least 2k.
So am i at the worst financial point right now as a 16 year old and no job? Long story short I cant work being an immigrant from South Africa(White african here) and apparently i cant get my green card after being here for 14 years.... Im very greatful for the stuff i have and happy with a roof over my head but i wish i could have money to buy some nice things. I have basically all my stuff handmedown if thats how you put it. Besides cloths and my guitars.
So is it honestly the situation were it sucks to suck? Sorry for my rambling but I just like writing and probably be my last post for quite awhile before I get everything back and running. I was really getting through with my music too

Hopefully soon it will be sorted out. We got a good lawer that belongs to an association and is working hard and we also got a reply from the governor and there putting in a request. So its do or die at the moment. We ether stay or get deported like 8 others from my family.
