I need a new cartridge for my crappy stanton table, i just want something that can pick up a more dynamic range of frequencies then the standard stanton cartridge.I have been looking at the Grado DJ Phono, anybody use those? Any suggestions will help.
Thank You

been loving my ortofon elektros for 7 years but can't say i play much vinyl these days.
the shure carts are always a good bet--- even those godawfully-ugly white label ones.

Grado make some good stuff generally, don't know what those are like though but I'd assume pretty nice
Shure Whitelabels are what I have and I think they're real good cartridges within the area of ones suitable for djing
They sound really great and are not too harsh in regards to record wear (they don't require very high tracking force compared to most I've used actually in the djing realm). They're still pretty stable and don't skip much either. Both at home and when I've played out on a big system they sound much better than the Stanton and the more standard ortofon ones I'd previously used and were reliable too.

haha. I think they look alright actually. Better than a fair few others look wise in fact. Kind of irrelevant how they look anyway as it's more about sound and reliability for djing which they deliver pretty well on both fronts
In fact I bought mine thanks to a recommendation from a mastering engineer and a bunch of great djs for a cartridge that is a good balance.
