Sound Names

I'm really working on my sound design skills and I want to try and recreate all of the sounds I hear people talking about. Now obviously not all sounds have names but many do so I figured it would be helpful to have a thread where there a ton of sound names so people could use the thread as a resource and then find the proper tutorials to recreate them if they aren't capable of doing so themselves, etc.

I'll start.

Reese Bass
Growl Bass
Wobble Bass
Pluck
Pad
Uplifter
Downlifter

Continue.

Also detailed names (ex: White Noise Uplifter) and examples of the sound appreciated.

On an unrelated note I've always wondered why they call it a "downlifter"... sounds like an oxymoron to me

I call them sweeps. You should probably post examples and a link to a tutorial/thread for each sound. Pretty useless knowing the name of a sound and not what it sounds like

I remember someone coming on here and asking for a sound that he described as liquid diarrhea, another person asked for a cat in a blender. Make sure to include those.
