Savant Sound Design

The weird metallic wobble around 0:54 in this track:



2:05 - 2:08 in this track:



How does Savant create these sounds, and get that metallic sounding shine and grit?

Also, a general question that can also be seen in his mixes -- how does he create the impression that his sounds are so wide but maintain the strength in the center of the mix as well? Everything sounds so big and wide, but it's not thinned out to the sides.

Play around with delays set to the lowest possible time, and comb filters. You'll probably have to make some sounds with these then layer them with more standard wobbles otherwise it will sound too washed out.

Make 2 versions of the sound, one mono for the power, and one that you spread out for the width

There's a whole set of ways to make metallic ring (inharmonic overtones) however my guess is he slapped on a bitcrusher after a resonant LPF.

To prove my point, here's a sample of a drop I've made employing said technique:
