Let me know what you think, I am stuck on what to do for the drop right now.
This is kind of an experiment...

What would you call this genre wise?

Also, feedback on the mixdown is especially needed because it sounds weird to me.

It's unusual, but it's dubstep. At first I thought it was gona be a Gangnam Style remix But it ended up going somewhere else, which kept me interested. The middle section could do with an extra synth or two ontop, or alongside the bleeps, I could hear the other synths slowly progressing underneath but you can't hear them that much so it doesn't really go anywhere. The melody is pretty cool though, different from what I usually hear. The bass sound good, like how it's designed, though the gaps where it stops don't sound that good imho, either stop the percussion aswell or fill them up, the drop was good though. So far im liking it overall, it's a WIP anyway so you can still do whatever you want with it. Send us a message when you finish it, I'd like to hear the final version

I just don't know what sort of sound to put there.

I added sub bass since this render and boosted those quiet pads so that should be better.
