All about the future garage and chillwave on computer speakers m7

Seriously though, this comment on the guardian sit hits the nail on the head
Nothing is 'best on computer speakers or mobile'. Nothing at all. If you think anything actually is best listened to through a mobile then without a doubt, you clearly hate music.

Spector
Celestine (Polydor)

I don't know Fred Macpherson. But If I did, we'd have met aged 16 in a park. He'd have pulled his cardigan around him to shield against gusts of swirling leaves. I'd have pulled my bobbly three-quarter leggings down over my pasty pegs. Who wouldn't want to be close to a boy who could procure 20 B&H simply by dropping his voice to the pitch of a yawn? He'd eventually shun me, wondering why he wasn't writing the best song of 2004 instead.
This is sounding like a Nathan Barley parody style review.

There is absolutely a relationship between recording & playback technologies and the aesthetics of a given style; unfortunately, this article (if not a pisstake) misses the mark by few glib miles.

Her reply in the comments after getting slated is just as ridiculous as the original article.

"Firstly, this piece was intended to get people chatting about the ways they listen to music, and I'm really glad you're getting going."
"Some artists I've interviewed even create music that's intended to be background-listening. Of course I would prefer to listen to all music on a Funktion 1 soundsystem, but it wouldn't make for a very sustainable lifestyle if every time I wanted to listen to music I had to go to a club. "
" The DVLA don't like to let me pass driving tests, but the day I eventually am allowed to drive a car, I probably won't listen to music in the car so I can focus on driving. "
"- but sometimes listening to music has to fit in around my other commitments. And having the bass down so that music is tinny and treble-heavy is the best way for me to concentrate. Perhaps that's different for people commenting here?"
"At the other extreme, when music is meant to take centre-stage, sometimes clubs can be a bit hectic and you don't actually have a better listening experience from being in one. But then again, there are some incidences when there is an experience borne of clubbers and DJs' interactions that gives you an entirely different, superior, listening experience to what you could ever get at home. I'd rather do terrible impromptu karaoke with my friends than be at home with the best-quality headphones ever listening to the best song ever without any interruptions."
"Making genres match formats was an experiment, a way of getting people talking. "

the article in itself was an absolute cringefest but the lack of reasoning in her retort is just abysmal

This is fucking hilarious. Dubstep on computer speakers lol? Maybe if you don't want to feel the sub-bass or even hear it for that matter, the genre's core is the sub-bass which is best experienced on a huge sound-system that rattles you to your very core. Absolute trash article :cornlol:.

Also yeah her reply is hilarious as well. I totally want to listen to music that is made to be low quality background noise.
