Gangster Pups - coffi - deconstruction

Hey there

I learned a bit about sound design in the last few months, even if im still not a sound engineer or stg like that. I just downloaded the smoke blunt ep by coffi and listned to the tunes on it.
I would literally pay for a good and consequent deconstruction document of this track "gangster pups"
The basses are quite bubbly like a sine modulation but on the other hand there is a kind of cracky undertone. Dont know how to describe. If this is the wrong place, please move but how are these synths are designed ( actually im pretty sure in massive) and how are they modulated/shaped? That is in my opinion the biggest problem in dubstep production. A simble wobble bass is the easiest thing of all production techniques but if u want the wobble sounding alive or specially modulated there have to be more then just a lfo or a lowpass filter.
What is the secret?

Pretty certain coffi uses reason, although I would love to see this thread go somewhere.

:D im glad to see that you like this tune as well but
are there any good sound designers which are skilled enough to explain this magic piece of wub?

I can get a similar sound and texture for that main wobble in massive, but I can't get the lfo filter right... It *sounds* like volume automations, but there's no way you can get it to whip like that with just that.

suggestions?

Actuallythere are different types of wubs which are not that sinplyautomated via lfo filters. Its more apluck sound combined with a downcurve or sth like that. The modulstion seems quite complex if u combine each sound. Then itsthe sound itself. The maineub seemsto be a saw layered with a metallic piece of whatever. Maybe a formant or other stuff, the intro wub ( shortly before the drop) is more cracky. It sounds like "dwhat". Like u compress something. Dunno how to achieve this sound. Then there is the modulation of the sound itself. The wubs change their voice a little bit during the bars. Any filter ideas ? Maybe a good used EQ or parallel processing in a special way ?
