So its been some time since this song came out,
Soundcloud

I've spent probably months trying to tear apart this sound.
There are three im particularly interested in figuring out.
These three are found at 1:31, 1:33, and 1:39 (kinda a high pitch bass.)

I've tried everything. I'm pretty good at resampling so the one at 1:33 i have a general idea. But with the one at 1:31 i have no clue. I'm really dying here, its not that i want to copy the sound, its that i've never ever heard ANYTHING even similar to it... Please give me a hand guys, whats your advice.

The only way i thought of how they made it is, it sounds a lot like their guitar lead, the 1:31 bass. I tried implementing that idea. Ended horrible. Not to mention i can't make my guitar wobble WTF.
The screech bass sounds like resampled high pitch guitar. Please help. ;=;

the one at 1:33 and 1:39 are the same synth it sounds like, sounds like a reese to me.

two saws at the same octave, one pitched up slightly and one pitched down a bit more, tube and overdrive dist and more hall reverb, eq/compress to taste.

for the pitch bendyness use tons of porta and legato and then play notes are are very far apart.

hope this helps a bit :D

that one at 1:31 though, no clue, thats a pretty awesome sound though, i'd be curious how to make that one myself.

I didn't want to spend hours recreating the reese but here is the growl and the screechy thing (also a reese).

Ask for details.

Its sounding nice, i'd like to hear how, and/or a picture.
And maybe if anyon else out there can expand on his method, maybe we can make it sound grittier, like the oirignal.

Yeah, they are noisia styled reese, i know how to do some of that stuff, i just want to know the one at 1:31 primarily, the thing is, i think i can mess around long enough to get the ones i want, but the one at 1:31 is just ripping me up. How do they do it, im gonna die man. Killsonik is my idol.

Basically just a saw with a unison settings of like 5 and tons of detune for the reesey ness, then send it through a LP with low resonance. Automate the volume of the saw and the cut of the LP with a triangle LFO. I also put a sine that pitches down really fast (pluck/saw LFO) at the rate of the saw, the volume of the sine is automated by the pitch LFO as well, it made it sound closer to the original but the original was probably just compressed to shit which made it pump like that.

Oh and a good portion of why it sounds so stressed in the original is some sort of crazy vibrato going on, I tried to figure it out but couldn't.

My guess is this is actually a stupid simple massive patch, I program all my sounds in Sytrus so it is a little different.

It wouldn't be too hard to make it stronger sounding.

The bass is more complicated... I can explain it as well, but it is basically just the same FM method I use for all my other growls. :corndance:

Sorry it took me a while to reply. :(
