So everyone sees that over the last few years there's been a lot of new music created around 130bpm and below from the Swamp81 tackle to the explosion of interest in Keysound Recordings and affiliated artists, not to mention Tectonic/Cold Recordings and a wealth of newer labels. Coupled with the resurgence of house and techno, this very loose "scene" itself is growing at quite a rate, and it's not always easy to find a place to talk about it here.

I think it would be a good idea to convert the house forum into something like a ~130bpm forum. There's already quite a lot of non-house discussion both in here and the events subforum (I see threads referring to Marcel Dettman, Special Request, Kowton, just at a glance) I think it could become quite a decent hub for exploring this stuff, as I don't know of everywhere else on the intertubes to discuss it all in the one spot.

Though I'd hate to homogenise the vast and diverse musical landscape in 2013 by bringing it all under the one umbrella, it would make it much more convenient to talk about it in the one forum! Just a suggestion...

I don't want my music pigeonholed , that whole 130bpm thread is full of deluded people trying to find some bandwagon to ride , now that the wheels fell off Dubstep, so far it's been , Funky , UK Funky ,Future Garage, UK Techno , UK Bass ,Futurebass , Bassmusic , 130 , bollox.

i just lump that stuff in with dubstep/grime/funky/whatever => general
keep this one for house & techno. maybe clean it up?
