One of Thatcher's gripes was that England of the early 80's wasn't producing enough, or creating enough new weath in order to create new jobs & industries. The tories exploited this by creating a class war that England's still reeling from. The most suprising thing about this study is that countries like France & Italy, with huge unemployment issues of their own, are still more productive per hour & annum than England.

Seckle the G7 isn't Europe so if you're going to try and post inflammatory bollocks that you don't understand particularly well then you can at least get your facts right. Go read about the miners strike that brought down the Heath government in 1974 or the winter of discontent that effectively signaled the end of the Callaghan government in 1979 and tell me that the Tories created a class war in the 1980's.

Otherwise as you were.

Still reeling from? Cameron brought it back with vengeance with his war on benefits.

I Love it when people try and defend the tories, It's like turkies voting for Christmas! Sadly the plebs of England love their servitude to the defunct class system.

IMO workers are less productive because they know they earn a pittance whilst their bosses earn millions. Pay people peanuts and you can expect monkey's.

The UK works more than Germany, apparently. The less developed a country's economy is, the more people seem to work.

Your comment reeks of tory sympathies, apologies if I've jumped the gun though m8.

We could work 2 days a week and still produce enough to satisfy demand, only we work for greedy cunts that don't 'work' but reap the rewards of our labour and we waste all that surplus. MORE!

I've been either a Marxist or to the left of the Labour party for 25 years. My point was that Thatchers government didn't create a class war that war, what it was, had been fought during the 70's.

England was tiny in comparison, Thatcher wanted to sell Britain's labour to foreign investment and pump the revenue made into her own schemes based on fucked up archaic Tory ideology, the unions were wise to it hence all the strikes. She effectively began the removal of a self sustainable internal infrastructure like the one that pushed the US to the top of the foodchain, we mine, harvest our own resources for our own consumption at no real profit and occasionally exchange for ones we can't but commercialisation and free market capitalism had other ideas, now everything is for sale.

i know full well about the g7, and yes einstein, the interesting part of this study is how England relates to the figures from Europe, not the rest of the g7.

Calm down smarty pants. And if you don't think the tories wanted a class war in the 80's you're living under a rock.

The UK tories, just like the US right wing, want to constantly manipulate the middle centrist part of society in order to underline, why they do what they do. This is exactly how they get over worldwide.
