For a long time the electronic scene in Australia was pretty embarrassing for the most part, with crap like this representing my city:
(Apologies in advance.)
In the past couple of years things have been turning around though, and there is some fucking amazing electronic music coming from young Aussie producers. I don't know how much shine this stuff gets in the US and UK (although a few of these guys have recently toured the US), but I thought I'd post some of it here for those who don't know.

its all basically what i like to call none techno chino core. I like the hayden james thing tho. never really got that into flume tbh. Its all right it suppose.

they're well into the drum & bass in Perth so you should be able to find something around that time...
the dubstep scene's died down a bit there of late from what I can tell
