I am having trouble figuring out how to automate pitch bend within absynth. Under perform, Assignments i have set macro control 1 to Osc 1 Main Pitch, Then i automate that within ableton but i can only seem to automate the pitch downwards and not up? Anyone know any way to automate the pitch?

Not exactly sure how absynth works, but if it's anything like massive, the macros by default start at a value of zero. So if you're trying to automate the macro, then yes, you can only go up. Just bring the pitch of your osc down an octave or two, and then bring it up on the macro so you have room to work with. That is, assuming the macro lets you do discrete values because otherwise in Ableton it might be a little sketchy trying to get a pitch of exactly 0.0 octaves with an automation break point at a non-zero or non-1.0 value.

Hope that makes sense. Reading over that, it sounds a little technical. Can you just use Ableton's pitch bend?

Thanks for your reply. Yeah it kinda made sense but for me it's the other way it will only let me pitch down and not up. Uhm I had a look for pitch adjustment in ableton but couldn't see one? In suying that I am fairly new to ableton and use to reason where you can see a pitch wheel on the side of synths :p

in your midi clip, look for the little e next to the L and two-eighth-note buttons. click on it. this is where you automate shit (in session view, that is). there are two field where you choose the parameter you want to automate. in the top one, choose "MIDI ctrl," and then in the bottom, choose Pitch Bend.
