As of today, October 1st, 2013, the Altered Echo Project is officially accepting submissions for mutations of this release. Due to the ambient nature of these tracks it is our intention to, in the very near future, release a collection of tracks that expand upon the original content in this work.

Submissions for this special release will be running for a 45 day period and closing Thursday November the 14th at midnight Eastern Standard Time.

Once we collect the submissions the tracks will be judged and the track listing will be selected. The winning tracks will be skillfully mastered by Mike Watts and the release itself will receive a full promotional campaign.

The only thing we ask is that you keep your tracks to a min -3 db (-5 preferred) with nothing on the master bus. Please keep your tracks PRIVATE and privately share them with us via SoundCloud. Dropbox links are also acceptable but please stay away from e-mail attachments.

Please click on the album art above to be taken to the site. There you will find direct download links to the album and a collection of stems and samples. These samples have been put together by Aaron and me for possible inspiration and use in the mutations of this work. In addition to the samples that were specifically made for this release we have collected all of the other percussion samples from all our previous releases. These samples have been housed in their own file and are in the process of being uploaded to our server. Once complete We will update this thread with that information / links.

So basically the idea is that this is an Ambient release and due to the process of destructive editing Ben Steed uses, we have no remix stems except the finished product. So, for this contest we are looking for people to make "beat" versions of the tunes by, well, adding a beat and chopping up and recombining the pieces parts into new work. If you have questions feel free to PM me here, I'm one of the Altered Echo project managers.

Going to take a look at this purely for the fact they referred to potential remixes as 'mutations'

We are open to anything from a traditional remix to absolute audio mangling. Submitted works are not required to much resemble the original.

We are always accepting remixes/mutations for anything we've released, so when ever you do have time, don't be afraid to send us something. We've got almost all of 2014 planned out and some exciting opportunities in store.

I'll be posting those opportunities here as long as I am welcome to.

My first class starts at 11am, then I'll be in my office for a couple hours after that so I can do it then, but I'll post a public dropbox link here. We are working on setting up a Bandcamp as well.
