Hey guys, i've been listening to allot of Sorrow recently and am really interested with how he creates he basslines.
Take this track for example:
Listen to the low bass, to me it sounds like a sub with the pitch being automated. I've had a play and well what i come up with sound shite, so in more detail how is this sound created?
Cheers in advance, always appreciate advice!

Could be going on a short branch here but could be automation on the amp and the cents on the osc? Something a long those lines, trying to phase a sound with pitch inside a couple oscs, but really really small stuff. Like some square waves would be great for that, detune them a bit to get that nice phasing and then slap a low pass, add an evn to the amp, intensity, and maybe try modulate it from a sin-square but not sure how that sounds.
This gets that first part of sub, then do your pitch automation with it pitching up 5 or 7 semitones in a clip. I guess you could deconstruct it as a normal reese but put a big emphasis on the low-mid end and do the normal split frequencies and add other junk. Pretty interesting sub really

yep just sounds like pitch automation on a low passed reese or something, not overly special
tbh if u heard his sub on its own it would probasbly sound kinda boring too
try get a copy of the tune and then use the master eq to low pass it so all youve got is the sub frequencies and then listen to what's going on
