CDJ 1000 MK3 QUESTION

So i've just copped these off ebay. Been looking for a long time and just grabbed a deal which is pretty much bang on the money. Nothing too much or too low really....

HOWEVER!

Just been to contact the guy for pick up and only just noticed the full description on the listing. (was kinda sold by the pics cause they looked clean)

Anyway i just spotted this:
Everything is in full working order, however the play button on one of the decks doesn't always click, if that bothers you it's a simple job to replace the tack switch.
What does this mean? I dont mind sorting this problem out but it won't be costly would it? I havent paid yet so I could just bail on the purchase if its gonna be a hassle... Am I right in saying it means that the button sticks? or what? I tried a google but couldnt find much on 'TACK SWITCH'

Thanks peoples :w:

Google Pioneer CDJ replacement parts. There's a place that sells individual components, not sure on prices would have to check with them.

I mean I dont know as I dont own any, but maybe it means that the button works, it just doesnt click, so you may not know if it has actually pressed in as you dont get the touch response?

Fuck it, if it's really a problem then fix it, will be a good little project and the parts shouldn't cost much. Still buy them imo

I really hope you know that the CDJ 1000 mk3 does NOT have a USB port.

Just i've been researchign CDJs since I'm buying a pair int he next week, and I almost wnet with the 1000's until someone told me that they do not have a usb port and you have you have to use CDs (a pain IMO)

^lol, first thing you should do is look at the picture.

i've played on some CDJs with mashed cue/play buttons. they work, but it takes more effort to press/hold them as they are not really responsive, for example if you want to hold the cue button you have to press quite hard, and hitting a play button doesn't work too good either you have to actually press it sometimes.
hope i made sense
i'd think the switch replacement would be quite easy/cheap, may be a good opportunity to bargain a price tho :P

Have you thought about saving up your money and getting a couple CDJ 2000 Nexuses? I think you'll be much more satisfied.

Haha yeah my Technics didn't come with Traktor either.

Anyway, I think the button will function fine.

What CDJs are they?

1000MK3? There are a few buttons left of the screen, I think you have to hold one of them down for a second or two and Cue will either appear or disappear
