I'm about to rent a house and I'd like to buy a system for when I DJ my own house parties.
Given I know little about PA's...does anyone here have experience with this?
I'm looking for a system to be able to fill a house with sound and sub bass without compromising clarity.
So far it looks like i'll be going with 2 - 3 ways or 2 - 2 ways and a subwoofer.
Any brands to look out for? best deal?
What wattage will suffice for a house?
Thanks in advance.

Semi non related Q
If you get a studio subwoofer running with monitors, is there a way to only send mids and highs to the monitors and lows to the subs

this. its a house, you dont need a damn PA system to fill it with sound. just get a decent hifi setup and make sure you dont push it too hard.

Do you just keep the system and renew your rental every month?
I'm thinking of renting one for holloween for like 95$ for speakers and a sub.

as for systems i don't know shit about them, but i do house parties with 2 bookshelf speakers, a sub, and an amp. probably all you really need unless your house is huge.

Just rent it, otherwise you'll spend a ton and just have it sat around. Or invite people with a system to DJ
