Lots of tunes are only available on vinyl and buying vinyl from record shops sustains a culture I think is valuable. Those are my reasons.

You missed out the main reason people buy vinyl

To have a reason to talk down to mp3eads.

It's cheaper than Digital for most good music

You can buy copies of really random 'dance' records that are pretty hard to come by digitally,

In most cases (becasue they were pressed in such quantities in days gone by) they will be sat in some warehouse still shrink wrapped in decent nick....

You can also astound your peers with your musical knowledge and stroke your chin at the back of a dance if you buy vinyl.

As a vinyl head I always hate it when fellow wax heads act like they're superior to those who buy digitally. Music is music the format shouldn't matter.
