OK guys,

I'm trying to figure out how skrillex makes this taking bass sound in the song Cinema

Its not the inital drop but its a sound that only lasts a second or two and is different than the inital "wow" synth drop

Its almost sounds as if its a voice thats been layered and vocoded, etc.

Every tutorial on youtube dones't even come close to make this sound

Below is a video of the song cinema slowed down

The sound happens at 2:00 - 2:03, 2:08 - 2:11, 4:20 - 4:23, and 4:28-4:31.

HOW ON EARTH DO YOU MAKE THAT SOUND and make it well enough that it actually closely resembles it?

google growl bass. there have got to be thousands of threads and thousands of youtube tutorials. your patch sounds too high? pitch it down an octave. the bass you are looking for was lower than the other one you referred to.

Ok first off, what exactly is a "thread"? And secondly, no one online gets it right at all. I've watched upwards of 30-40 videos. No one can get that same voice. Any other suggestions?
