Hey, im an electronic music artist and producer and i've been trying to figure out how to make this particular sound or instrument I heard in Blackmill's "The Light". It's a very smbmmerssed pad that plays from the intro and then side chained throughout. [ Can be heard here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-U1c0R_4rI ] Anyone can help me out with a instrument or VST i can use to create this sound? I use Fruity Loops 10 btw.

honestly, to me it just sounds like a thinned out Supersaw patch playing chords. before the sidechain starts it might have a slower attack on it...and the very beginning had a low pass filter or somethin' on it starting off closed then opening up. you should be able to do that in fruity loops.

and this should probably be in the sound design sub-forum

^nailed it. most pads like this are just lowpassed supersaws playing chords. you can make a supersaw by taking a couple of saw oscillators and adding multiple voices and detuning them. good luck :)
