I've only been producing for a couple of months but I really like this track and was looking for some feedback on how to make it better as well as what I've done right/wrong. Appreciate.
Oh, and it is in memory of my friend, the late Donny Kerabastos.

It's good, but I think you can make it better

for feedback I would say, try make the drums at the intro quieter so you can hear the piano better, personally I would change the drum samples or maybe EQ them, they seem a bit muddy to me, try add more mids to them. Also I commented on the song regarding specific points. Anyway, it's very good for a new producer, good luck in the future

i like it man for only producing for a few months this is damn good. i also really like the major piano part and then it drops into minor heavy bass. big ups on the creativity man. but yeah pretty much what volatil3 said above^ eq the drums and try to make them cut through clearly. usually what i do is when i mix it down and eq each track i try to make sure i dont boost the same frequencies on channels so no two channels are fighting eachother in the mix. i.e. boost the lows at about 50 hz or so on your kick but when you eq the bass boost the lows at maybe 90 or 100 hz so they dont cover eachother up. or if you want your sub bass to be really bassy boost the lows down to 50 hz but then put a limiter or compressor on that channel and side chain it to the kick so the kick will cut through clearly. also (idk if you did or not) pan certain channels left and right so they dont overlap eachother too. in the end good work and good luck man

Thanks for the feedback guys. I've been having a hard time mixing my tracks but I'll see what I can do on the EQ. Any recommendations for places I can learn a little more about EQing, mixing, and mastering?
