That growl sounds an awful lot like countless other dungeon tunes I would say...
Don't get me wrong, I do love Kaiju, their production skills are amazing, but to me these tunes are just another example of the lack of originality/distinctive sounds of this "sub-genre". Thankfully enough it seems that producers coming from this background are increasingly moving away from the formula, but imo there are still way too many tunes released within this genre that just sound so similar from one another.
So yeah, have to say I'm a bit disappointed about the choice of tunes on this release. Say, if their new 12" had included Late Night Tribe and/or Narrow, now THAT would have been instabag for sure! Fingers crossed these will be the next ones they release...

B-side sounds like Headhunter - Clone too.
Dunno still reckon the OG is weighty enough, yeah its not particularly forward thinking but don't expect that from Osiris anymore tbh
Would've rather had Jam Maker

I copped a couple of Osiris plates in the recent past - a Killawatt 12", the Ipman release and ofc Badman VIP - but their take on "techno" isn't exactly inspiring or groundbreaking. the tunes work as dj tools, but that's about it, sadly. dungeon, tribal, "techno" - they seem to jump on a train and ride it for far too long.
these tunes are alright. Kaiju's Lioncharge 12" imho is much much better and illustrates the production standards these guys set for themselves in a more accurate way, though.

I thought m16 was coming out on wheel & deal? I guess they couldn't be arsed with waiting a year for it to come out haha
