Great article, few realisations in there for me. I wanna throw in using promotional channels such as youtube. Not trying to brag but I recently had a track featured on airwave music on youtube, it's not exactly UKF but 200,000 subs isn't a bad effort. My facebook page then jumped up about 150 likes in less than a week, due to the track being a like to download (I do it for all my free downloads). I got a few soundcloud followers out of it too, mostly other producers who are active soundcloud users and actually click the links in the youtube description I would assume.

I've kinda come to the realisation that you don't really have to be that good to get some kind of notoriety on the interwebz, which I would assume is something labels would be interested in when you send demos and what not.

Really nice article, totally wasn't expecting that. I'd add sending tracks to other DJ's on the list. Getting a track played on someones podcast/radioshow/mix/liveset can be another great tool to get some buzz around your name.

Wow, I never thought of joining google+ before, but you made me do it yesterday. Although the only breakbeat community there has only 20ish ppl in it Good article tho, and bigups for all the effort mate, I'm a listener of your podcasts/tutorials and they are awesome!
