Hardware Synths never ending release problem

I'm using logic 9 to sequence & record a microkorg & jv1080. I'm using a Chord USB to Midi cable (chord is the name of the brand of cable).
Now when I play the synths with my midi keyboard no problems but when I trigger them from some midi I pencilled in logic very often the sound goes on and on and never stops it sounds like a never ending release but its got nothing to do with the ADSR enevlopes.

Whats happening and how can I stop this from happening?

Sounds like it's MIDI hang. MIDI signals have note on and note off messages. For some reason the notes you're playing in logic aren't sending a MIDI note off message. One thing I can think of is are you writing stuff where a note has the end cut off but a loop point or by editing the midi parts you've made. Like if the note on the piano roll is not being played to the end.

If it's not this and it's happening with all notes at all times I'm really not sure what's going on though.

I posted this up qestion up on Gearslutz aswell and one of the moderators suggested that it could be down to bad midi drivers so instead of using the chord usb to midi I hooked it up with my Saffire Pro 40 midi in and out and it worked fine.

I originally bought the chord usb to midi cable because I couldn't get the midi in out to work with the saffire pro 40 but i just updated the drivers and firmware and it worked fine.

So anyone just getting into using hardware BEWARE: DON'T BUY A CHEAP MIDI INTERFACE.

Also anyone having problems with a Saffire Pro 40 Midi, update the drivers
