Learning FL Studio quick ?

I do all my mixes currently with Pinnacle Studios,

but I feel it's time to really rip stuff up and make my own drops...from scratch

I really wanna learn everything about FL Studio...and fast.

I find most online tutorials are boring or only concentrate on 1 topic for too long , or something else about em is annoying.

I haven't even downloaded FL Studio yet.. (i know....i got a long way to go)

I want hands-on training ....or a class just for FL Studio.. is there such a thing ? If not, they should make one. They have so many college courses these days, with so much crap that nobody needs to know. Just take everybody's money, and give us minimal knowledge.

I know it's a TON to learn, but I wanna learn everything. and fast.

Any advice is appreciated. (whether it's courses, tutorial videos, or whatever)

I'm actually working on a little video showing all the basics lol.

I'd recommend just reading the manual.

Fuck engineering, teach me to fruity loops in 6 weeks!

Sorry bud there's no shortcuts. Even if you do learn the ropes of the program within a few weeks, your music is going to be utter shit for a few years. Buckle up for the long haul.

If there was a quick way to learn to be good at production I wouldn't be here

well, i've taught my way to the top so far with no college at all. So I doubt it could be harder than what i've self-taught so far.

server admin , owner of multiple domains, business owner... taught myself everything and Google was most of it. Especially with Linux

Trust me...they waste a lot of your brain power and money in college. I see the dread on so many of my friends faces...that are in debt for life because of college. If I ever went to college, it would be ONLY for something where the certification was mandatory...like medical technician, etc.
But , I don't need it...so.

Another thing : soo many people that go to college for 1 thing...end up eventually doing something completely different for the rest of their lives. The reason ? they drive you crazy for 4 years or whatever with that certain job opportunity....that by the time your done graduating, you want NOTHING to do with that line of work.

Not trying to persuade people against going to college, just showin both sides. A lot of kids growing up these days are so peer pressured from friends and family into thinking...that college is the 'only' way...when it really isn't.

Google and other online informational sources really should be treated like gold mines these days...this stuff was unavailable to all 20+ years ago.....when all there really were....were outdated information in books and libraries.

So yeah hate to break it to you but I'm in college just this past year I invented air and make bangers. So now that you know that equally useless piece of knowledge please come back to reality

Sounds like you're well versed on using google for research so why are you posting here on some shortcut type shit? If you can't sit through a FL tutorial or read the manual, I have pretty strong doubts about your position at the top of whatever other fields you're involved in. "Server admin , owner of multiple domains, business owner" So that means you uploaded copy/pasta'd php to GoDaddy via FTP and signed up for an Adsense account? If not and you actually do know what you're doing, then I'm sure you didn't get there through a shortcut. It probably took a bit of effort to teach yourself. So just apply that same effort to this scenario, pretty simple really.

Like I said, you can learn the syntax of a production environment but you still need to put in tons of work to make not terrible art. That's not something you can read off google.

I'm self taught as both a server admin and music maker, its nothing to brag about - theres thousands of other people who can do what you do better. Fact.

The quick way is to invest time every day in specific aspects. Read the manual just like you would learning RC2..

Op, can you give a few examples of tunes/artists you'd like to have a similar style to? So we have a starting point in terms of advice etc.

There is a guy on YouTube by the name of steve3418 or something like that, and he has a beginner-to-pro series for FL Studio. DEFINITELY watch his videos. Even warbeats idolizes him

Oh I thought it was about college.

@LIBERTINE: LMAO I listened to your sig and you used that sample from the movie Elf. That's hilarious. I actually used to use that as my beat tag (and that's where I got my producer name from) but I made my own to avoid any copyright issues.
