Safety

Basically this is a dubstep track with a real different vibe. It's quite minimal but yet has loads of atmospherics running through it. Finding it a real fucking pain to get a fantastic mixdown on it... or maybe I've got a good enough mix?

Ye so, I would appreciate some indepth feedback if you can.

Cheers, Amo + Ami

Mixdown Final Update 20/09/07

I'll probably update the mixdown further down the line, when I understand more about techniques.

Sounds pretty crisp to me.... the bass line is nice. The secret to doing a good mix down is to just not give a fuck. If you don't ask, people will assume you're a pro.

liking the amens and drum programming in this. has a real mechanical hard feel to it but the pads and atmos help give a complete contrast. wobble is sounding quite nice. as far as mixdowns go im not the best person to ask just yet but i would suggest some more filters/eq on those amens. the high freq's are sounding quite sharp and jagged when it's turnt up really loud.
generally a good tune, nice and spacious.

i'd like a bit modulation on that wobble though when the tune progresses--change the lfo rate about abit and apply automation so it 'moves' some more.
it sounds abit rigid at the same speed on some parts. obviously the fills and changes at the end of the bars to make up for this though.
good stuff mate :D

Thanks alot dTruk, I've been trying so hard to try and get those amens right but it's becoming a real pain. I'll definently mess about with it more. I see where you're coming from when you say 'it sounds abit rigid at the same speed on some parts.' I'll mess about with the lfo and shit during the beginning. But ye, because it was quite monotonous at the beginning, I had to switch it up at the end.

Cheers, Amo

Nice!
I really like the amens, they're giving it an industrialish vibe or something.. Like the last guy said, the high freqs are a bit stingy, but other than that, i'm really liking it. More of these :P
