Minimal drumstep?

So I have been stuck on this new style lately and I personally think its pretty unique. I know there is minimal d&b and minimal dub but this have a really strong robotic heaviness to it that you don't hear in most of those other songs. If you guys have a better Idea at what you would categorize this as then tell me.

Also I hate playing the genre game, I know if it sounds good that's all that really matters. Music is music at the end of the day, but I would still like the opinion of what some of you would categorize this as.

I've heard of minimal d&b, but not minimal dub. Could you post an example?

Been feeling this sound lately m'self... things just seem to pop @ 170.

Would fit much of the Autonomic stuff, although perhaps not exclusively in either direction. Amit has a few, & Logistics get namechecked in another thread on another board.

There's an SC tag: https://soundcloud.com/tags/minimal-drumstep

And one of the first tunes I heard to fit the bill:

this would be alright if i that snare was less obnoxious.
change the brostep snare and you've got a decent tune

J:kenzo tune on mosaic would be a good example of this. amit's killer driller would be another one i guess. really you're just looking for halfstep dnb by artists that aren't too tear out.
