Hello, I've posted about this before but I didn't get any responses that I think gave any information.
I need help with finding/creating drumsounds from "oldschool" dubstep tracks made by artists like Ganja white night, Stenchman, DZ, The widdler, etc.

Any response that will help me will be greatly appreciated.

might be helpful if you post an example of a tune with the kind of drums your looking for. i don't really think you can say any sorta of type of dubstep has a distinctive sound to their drums. plus those aren't really the producers most people think of when you'd say "old school dubstep".

like debunked said, those guys aren't really "Oldschool" dubstep. i think back in the day they didn't torrent sample packs so it would be mostly cutting hits from records etc. lot of oldschool tunes have kinda imperfect sounding drums but have alot of character to them.

I mean the music in any (sub)genre should have drums with "nice flow," so i don't see how that relates to 'old school dubstep.' the drums in those are pretty basic and brosteppy. simple kick on 1, snare on 3. nothing interesting with them, maybe a bit of reverb on the snare. then maybe some hihats. the 2nd tune barely has any percussion aside from the kick and snare. how is that "old school"? first tune has more interesting drums but still bare kick on 1, snare on 3. offbeat hihat. then a second hihat skipping around. not sure what you're looking for, those drums are pretty basic.

entirely wrong imo, some producers have very recognisable drums. el-b, pre-halfstep loefah, dub war / horsepower (especially benny ill), 2562, sigha, b9, gantz, d1, epoch, wayfarer... the list is massive. i nerd out on percs.

also OP those guhys arent oldschool and their drums are massively bait raelly

but if u want those sounds, download vengeance sample pack and ur good to go

or instead of biting someoners wack vengeance sample pack drums like every other (bad) producer and his dog does, why dont u just make ur own drums and sample ur own stuff itll sound more itneresting

yeah im not quite sure why i said that... hmm. that was a few months ago, don't remember what i was thinking. plus like brostep has distinctive drums (200 hz snare), trappy stuff with the hihats, etc. you right

You could try searching for some reggae drum samples!
