Can you tell me please how to do the growl from Getter & Datsik - Hollow Point [Barely Alive Remix] ?

If you check out the official growl bass thread you'll see lots of people trying to
decipher hooks (matt from barely alive's) growl!

Also virtual riot did a tutorial on creating these kind of growls and even released some massive patches, bit of fiddling round with them and you could replicate it!

The funny thing about these Barely Alive guys is that they spent so much time making these silly growl basses their mixdowns sound like poop right now.

One thing: Compare the original to their remix. Hear the difference in mixdown quality?

The overcompression is exactly what I like about their mixdowns. My ears are fine, I just like how un-perfect their mixes are. It has a certain charm to it.
