Datsik / Moombacore chord stab

Ive been trying to make a moombacore chord stab for the longest time as heard in the intro of these two songs..

To me they sound a bit like horn stabs which I have samples of but Im sure these are synths not samples, what kind of synths are these and what are the basic concepts of making one?
