pioneer CDJ-1000
this is the standard usually used in most clubs
Don't think you will get one for £200 though, maybe £500 for second hand.
On the other hand, if you don't want it for DJ'ing then there are many better alternatives you can get for 200 quid. (for Hi-Fi use)
I always reckon MARANTZ make a good CD deck, for domestic use. try having a look at them.

on a budget? go for the CDJ 100s.. best frequency range.. better than any non-pioneer on the market, but doesnt have vinyl simulation (scratching, etc) that the 800/up have. you can find one on ebay in your range.

Cheers mate, I'll have a look at them. I do want the ability to scratch with them but I know I won't be able to get that with my tight budget. Mind got to learn to mix with them first!! I've always used vinyl up until now

Ello Lady Dubster, well i myself was after getting some cd decks recently, i didnt end up gettin em, but anyways i looked on ebay and i saw a pair of cd decks for sale at £100 they was called citrtonic or sumthin, obviously they wasnt as good as pioneer cd decks but they looked nice for a starter pair, so my advice would be to check ebay out. With your budget you could get yourself a nice pair or single cd deck. Good luck on the hunt

remember.. you dont want a 320 to sound like a 128. in a club atmosphere with dubstep, frequency is more important than scratching.

this is somthing ive been considering for a long time. obviously with 200 quid you can forget vinyl emulation, n lots of other fancy shit. ive been looking at them citronics too, but after reading that pioneers are the only choice, i spose i'll go with them. any more contenders im not thinking of?
who thinks i can get A cdj200 off ebay for under 200?
also, can i please have my picture back?
